Overview

The Funnel

    • accepts uploaded parts
    • automatically identifies their type
    • orients them for printing
    • collects parts into print jobs
    • distributes those jobs across all the printers an organisation has registered with Funnel.

The Funnel removes the need to manually create print jobs in Composer.

The Funnel is organised around Organisation accounts. Users are invited to join the Organisation account, and Asiga printers can be securely connected to the account. Users can upload parts, authorise print jobs to be sent to the printers. Users can monitor the progress of parts through the Funnel and the progress of print jobs as they print.

While the Funnel sends print jobs to a connected printer, the print job must be manually started on the printer itself.

The Funnel allows approved 3rd party applications to send parts to the Funnel when the appropriate integration is set up.

Funnel Users are identified by their email address, and an email address can only be associated with a single Organisation account. A user of the Organisation account can have one of 3 different roles:
